Groups

Developmental Training Group

The swimmer must be at least 8 years old. He or she must be proficient at all four strokes. The main objective for this group is to refine technique and introduce swimmers to basic training concepts and methods. Yardage ranges 2000 - 3500 yards per practice. Desirable minimum pace achieved by swimmers in this group is 5 x 100 free @ 1:30, 3x200 kick on a board @ 4:00.

Pre Senior Training Group

The swimmer must be extremely sound technically in all strokes and turns. He or she must know basic training concepts and methods. This group is designed for an age of range of 10 - 18 years old. Practice yardage ranges from 4500 - 6000 yards. Seven practices per week are required for swimmers 12 and older. Desirable minimum pace achieved by swimmers in this group is 10 x 100 free @ 1:20, 5x200 kick @ 3:30.

Senior Training Group


A swimmer in this group must be extremely sound technically in all strokes and turns. He or she must have mastered advanced training concepts and methods.  Over 80% attendance is the required minimum. There are nine practices per week. Yardage ranges from 6000 - 9000 yards per practice. Swimmer normally must have achieved at least one sectional cut to enter this group. Ages range from 13 years old and up. Desirable minimum pace achieved by swimmers in this group is 20 x  100 free @ 1:15, 5x200 kick @ 3:15. Coaches always have the final say as to who is in the senior group. Coaches also base the move to the senior group on an interaction of factors including attitude, dedication, attendance, ability, and training ability.

Fall Group


A seasonal group for recreational swimmer of all ages, from September to December, to build on to their summer training, and stroke work, and to experience a taste of year around swimming and competition.
